And what a year it has been! In between product launches, adding a plethora of new faces to the team and watching ART continue to grow at an incredible rate – 2022 has been a very exciting year for us.
It’s fair to say that businesses across the UK have had a difficult couple of years, and it has been comforting to see some level of normality returning to the workplace in 2022, but that’s not to say we don’t still have other challenges to face in the year ahead.
Hybrid working, The Great Resignation and Quiet Quitting are just a few of the strong buzzwords this year as workplace culture is being well and truly shaken up. Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing!
There are some truly innovative companies out there that are leading the way when it comes to employee experience and wellbeing. We’re fortunate enough to have been involved in some fantastic projects in the past year that have produced ground-breaking insights, leading to organisations making effective changes to their workplace. However, being able to define wellbeing and what it means for an organisation is still something that many companies are grappling with.
Mental health, stress and resilience are just a few of the repeated words and phrases that we hear many well-meaning organisations list as being key priorities for their business. However, we often see a lack of understanding as to what these terms mean, or how to effectively address them. It seems that there needs to be a common definition and understanding of health and wellbeing to identify how the workplace can positively support employees in this area before true change and impact can occur.
Alongside the companies leading the way and the companies who mean well but aren’t effectively addressing wellbeing at work, we unfortunately recognise that some organisations that aren’t responding to employee needs at all. Many have reverted to pre-pandemic approaches and view the support offered across the last two years as a ‘nice to have’. We see it differently. Long-term health and wellbeing enhancements are must-have offerings that improve both employee happiness and business success.
So, how does ART fit into all of this?
Over the last twelve months, we’ve worked hard to support organisations at all levels to fully understand their employee needs:
– We’ve developed more data-led, personalised technology-based products which help employees to positively impact daily lifestyle choices and behaviour.
– We’ve provided educational content to employers and employees alike, driven by our own data, to highlight the importance of focusing on the fundamentals of human health and wellbeing.
– We’ve helped employees to look after their bodies more effectively through enhanced recovery, greater movement, better nutritional choices and improved brain health, that helps place each individual in a better state to cope with day-to-day life, both inside and outside of work.
– We’ve offered access to experts within our team to help individual employees understand their data and how small changes can make a big difference.
– We’ve listened to our clients and their employees to understand their biggest pain points and problems in relation to wellbeing for us to continually enhance our products to meet their needs.
There’s still a lot of work to be done to make a significant change in workplace culture not just for our clients, but for everyone. At ART, we pride ourselves on not just providing great products and services, but on taking the time to educate and inform people from all walks of life on wellbeing, health and happiness. Education is at the heart of our work and we want to help everyone understand their bodies and minds better so they can be their best self – at work and at home.
As the year comes to a close and we prepare to say goodbye to 2022, let’s take a look at what we’ve achieved here at ART and what we’re looking forward to in 2023!
It’s been a pleasure to invite six new members to our team this year, with plans to add several more new faces in 2023 as we continue to grow our organisation. We like to think we’ve got something special here at ART – our team go beyond being warm and welcoming, they ensure each new hire feels like part of the gang from day one. It’s a supportive culture we’re truly proud to have.
One Wellbeing has been a labour of love for each of us, and 2022 saw the launch of the first generation of One Wellbeing. We have ambitious plans in place for 2023 and beyond, developing our products and services with new features, insights and impact.
